the package is good for 90 days? approximately how many lessons a week are we allowed to attend? are we allowed to attend different locations? Thanks, Cecil

You must register for a class within the 90 days of the coupon. This gets you attendance to one class per week. Students are also welcome to make up missed classes at other locations. So let's say for example that you register for the Monday night class at Chevy Chase Ballroom. You will attend eight weeks at CCB. But if you miss a class, you can make that class up at any of our other venues. But to be clear, the coupon buys you eight classes total within the scope of the original registration period. Hope that's clear!! Sorry I was so long in getting back to you--I had eye surgery yesterday and was answering Email on my iPad, and it wouldn't let me answer your question for some stupid reason.

Debra, I would like to sign up for beginner classes on Sunday nights in Silver Spring, but classes have already started for this session. Will there be another session starting there that will begin before the 90-day expiration date for the Groupon? Will there also be a dance party an hour later on Sunday evenings? I'd like to get a bunch of friends in Montgomery County started swing dancing and Sunday nights work well. Thanks!

Hey Audrey! At this point in time we have every intention of offering another set of classes at McGinty's as soon as this current series ends. The next session is projected to run April 14-June 9 (no class on Sunday, May 26). We also expect to continue the free DJ dance party 8-10pm following class. it would be so wonderful to have you and friends join us! Oh, and yes, if you purchase the Groupon offer now you will be able to use it for the April series.

okay, here I go....I can not were heals...only tennis shoes.....is this a problem?

I haven't worn heels in 15 years! Swing dancers usually do not wear heels (that's more ballroom-style). Swing dancing is mildly athletic and you need low-heeled or flat shoes that stay securely on the foot and offer a good amount of support. Tennies should be just fine.

Debra & Tom: Do you offer dance lessons in VA, I live in Alexandria, VA? I recently retired & want to take dance lessons. I used to come to Clarendon a few yrs ago. Used to help sell dance tickets at the Clarendon ballroom. Do you do private lessons, think I am a slow learner. Thanks, Norma

We currently offer a Tuesday night class at The Carlyle Club in Alexandria and a Wednesday night class at Nick's Nightclub in Alexandria, as well as lots of other locations. Almost all of our instructors do offer private lessons, and you can read more about that at http://dc.gottaswing.com/classes/private-lessons/. The Groupon offer is limited to first-time beginner students only and is not applicable to anything else, such as private lessons. Let me know if I can help with anything else. does the $55 only apply to chevy chase ballroom, mcgintys and the germantown location? is the 90 day expiration to start a series of classes or to finish the classes?

Hey Mary, sorry to be so long in getting back to you. The $55 offer applies to all our locations with the exception of the Tuesday night class at the Stacy C. Sherwood Center in Fairfax.
