$35 for a Shellac Manicure and a Spa Pedicure ($80 Value)

Shellac color lasts for up to two weeks without any chips or smudges. During the spa pedicure, feet enjoy a bath, a scrub, and a massage with body butter before the technician swipes on regular nail polish. To maintain a quiet atmosphere, Graffiti Nail Bar does not permit children.

Graffiti Nail Bar

Nail technician Lauren Scales loves beauty, but as a customer, she never found a salon she truly enjoyed. So she founded her own. Lauren’s first order of business? Build a place where customers can easily communicate their needs. Lauren was dissatisfied with the assembly-line-style pace she'd observed elsewhere because it made it nearly impossible to describe to the technician what you were looking for. At Graffiti Nail Bar, she makes sure to take the time to figure out what the client wants. This may be freehand nail-art portraits of Nikola Tesla, long-lasting gel or Shellac, patterned Minx designs, or simply a soothing mani-pedi made luxe by body butter. In fact, the butters, lotions, and soaps are all handmade by Lauren, are vegetable-based and free of synthetic oils, and are available for purchase in the in-house boutique that also offers earrings.

The Groupon Guide to: Talking to Celebrities

Everyone knows that celebrities are just as excited to see you in real life as you are to see them. Here are the best ways to initiate conversations with your favorite stars of stage and screen:

  • "Hi, I loved you in [name of movie or chef competition]. Speaking of love, would you ever consider playing tennis with me, a fan? Speaking of fans, have you ever been on one of those weird boats in the Everglades?"

  • "Whoa! It's you! My parents are always trying to tell me you aren't real and that you're one of those computer-generated cartoons like Shriek from Shriek 2. You should talk to them. They're at the other end of this rope."

  • "Hey, you're from that movie where the characters ate the pizza! Will you autograph this coupon for free breadsticks with the purchase of a large eight-meat?"

  • "You must hear this all the time, but I've gotta ask. Is that your real hair?" [tug hair jokingly] [tug again depending on response]

  • "Where do I know you from? Don't tell me. Don't ever tell me. I need to do this myself. I can't say for sure what would happen if you told me."

If you’d like to talk to my parents, follow this rope.
