Today's Groupon gets you $20 worth of organic and all-natural food for $10 at Green Gables Cafe. Green Gables, voted Best Healthy Fast Food by the Miami New Times, uses organic and local ingredients to craft healthy and delicious breakfasts and lunches Monday through Friday.
Morning mouth items such as organic eggs and freshly baked muffins are particularly mouthwatering at Green Gables, according to the New Times. Eating organic reduces the amount of pesticides and chemicals in the environment (and in your food), plus it tastes better because organic fruits and vegetables have higher levels of antioxidants, lower average crop yields, and flavor crystals.
Green Gables's menu has sandwiches (try the smoked salmon and fresh mozzarella with vine ripe tomatoes and capers on a baguette, or a vegan eggplant wrap), soups (including red lentil and sweet potato puree), salads (such as cobb and Mediterranean), and beverages (including an antioxidant smoothie of strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, and organic apple juice). The cafe also serves scrumptious daily specials, such as a soup and sandwich combination, raw vegan special, and hot plate special.
Green Gables is a small, cozy cafe lit by energy-efficient light bulbs and run by a mother-daughter team. The friendly staff wears organic cotton apparel and clean using all-natural products. All plastic containers and utensils are made from renewable resources, and paper products are made from recycled paper.

Eight Days a Week (At Least)
Green Gables operates Monday through Friday, so make sure to stock up on delicious vegan-friendly goodies for the weekend and any elusive hidden days of the week that only occur under special circumstances. Groupon keeps a list of these handy, in case they should pop up:
Shrigsday: Occurs in non-leap year Februarys when Moon is in Capricorn, between Monday and Wednesday, replacing Tuesday entirely. Lasts only 19 hours. Direct to DVD films released on Shrigsday are considered lucky.
Lordsday: Despite pious-sounding name, Lordsday actually derives its name from a portmanteau of Law & Order, having been founded by executive producer Dick Wolf after running out of days for Law & Order to air.
Favresday: Named for NFL icon and Norse God of Pass Completions, Favresday currently occurs whenever it feels like it.
