It says not valid with any other promotions so my guess would be no. A good deal regardless! Delicious food.

so- is this a yay or nay for prix fixe?

Hey Everyone,
Christopher, you cannot use the Groupon for the prix fixe menu, sorry.
Kenneth, thanks for posting. We spoke to the owner who told us he fired his old chef a few months ago. Business is going well and he has no plans to shut down.
Best,
Bob from Groupon

For my fellow veg-heads, this place is vegetarian-friendly. If you’re vegan, their webpage says they’ll accomodate those with a vegan diet. very cool.
I read the links Kenneth provided in his alert about this restaurant. It involves some major drama with the former Chef not getting paid and staging a protest outside the restaurant. Definitely a yellow flag, since even if you fire someone you should pay them for work performed. No one wants to go somewhere that does not treat their workers well. That said, they have a new head chef who was formerly the sous chef. So if she stuck around, maybe the owners are not bad afterall and it was a fluke having to do with that one employee.
In any event, their vegetarian dishes look so incredible that I’ll give this place the benefit of the doubt and give it a try. Check out these dishes (yum!):
- Tagliatelle with roasted tomato, baby spinach, artichokes & roasted garlic cream
- Roasted mushroom risotto, asparagus, artichoke & parmigiano reggiano
- Stracci with grilled zucchini and bell pepper, olive, pumpkin seeds, feta & lemon herb olive oil
and this on the brunch menu:
- Mediterranean frittata, artichokes, olives, pepita, feta, arugula, home fries
- Ranchero omelette, black beans, onion, pepper, cheddar cheese, ranchero sauce, sour cream, home fries
Shizznit! I can’t wait to try this place.

Colleen: This is the first restaurant Groupon I purchased because Grocery Bistro is vegetarian/vegan-friendly. I am SO EXCITED!

Cheers to vegetarian deals. Looking forward to trying this place out.
Today, we went there to spend our Groupon. We were just two and had a hard time to spend the full amount for brunch. The prices are reasonable, the food was really good and the service perfect. The brunch is more on the light side in terms of calories and perfect for a start into the day. We would have never went there without Groupon but thanks to Groupon this will become our favorite place for brunch in Chicago.
Anyone have one of these that they would like to sell? Please email me at vikasdua@gmail.com. Thanks!!
Robert,
Good way to do research. Did you talk to the owner of the building?
I just tried to make a reservation for today (because it’s the last day for this groupon), and they are closed on Sundays! Is there any way to extend the expiration date of the groupon?

Can this be used for the 5PM-7PM prix fixe dinner?
