Questions and Answers
oops, sites. It’s late sorry.

I’m with ya there Heather. Proflowers has the best arrangements and the best deals anywhere, anytime! I am guessing that the $40 does not include delivery. Using it for V-Day is nice, but you have to order BEFORE Feb. 5.
thanks for the heads up heather h.!
quick question: can this groupon be used for 2 different arrangements?
I would like to preface this by saying you have a right to your opinion…but for everyone out there who has not experienced all three my opinion is different. I think alot of care and compassion goes into everything “grow” puts together, wether you are a 1st time buyer or a regular. My experiences with the others is all over the board and the flowers last about 2 days…Give "Grow"a shot, you won’t be dissapointed and they make the cutest arrangments!
I’ve used Grow before – They do a great job… Phone orders have always been delivered on time and to my satisfaction too. Speaking of which…
Query: Can the Groupon be used for an order by phone? Thanks.
can this be used for out of town deliveries
such as valentines day in fla?
I’m going to agree with Bianca. You can definitely get great deals from the online sites – proflowers, etc. But often times when I’ve been the recipient of flowers from those sites, they arrive in a box left sitting on my doorstep in the cold or the flowers are already wilting upon arrival. I have never used grow, but I assume you would get more custom arrangements and personalized service. So if you want something more unique for an upcoming occasion, this seems like a great deal! I also assume if delivering locally, they will be delivered by a live person arranged in a vase (vs. being delivered in a box with the vase wrapped separately by fedex) PLUS when you use those websites you have to figure the added fees- delivery, the vase, etc. If you could find a decent arrangement at Grow for under $100 with delivery (so groupon + $20) it will probably end up costing you close to the same amount.
How much would delivery to Evanston (1500 chicago ave) is that still cost $12 or is it more for delivery?
What types of flowers will be used if we order for valentines day? Is there anyway to know what the arrangement will look like?
What is the limit to how many of these that can be purchased and used at once?
Always remember working with a small independently owned business keeps America strong… You will not be disappointed, it is beautiful work, thoughtful loving work….
I used to LOVE proflowers, but found out about their scams:

Grow, unlike Proflowers, (probably) won’t share your personal information with other vendors and will not sneakily charge you $14.95/month for a membership you didn’t sign up for……and found out after they’ve been charging you for months/years.
sorry, more info on the $14.95/month membership scam regarding ProFlowers:

I had the same thoughts as each of you had – so I perused the sites for both 1800 and a local flower shop, Ashland & Addison Florist. After comparing what I could get for approximately 80 dollars, I thought I could get a better deal with Grow. This will be my first time with them – and I’m willing to take a Valentine’s chance. Besides, the originality alone is worth it. 1800 (while doing nice work, is not quite as personal and lacks the artistic quality I personally am looking for). I’m actually really looking forward to working with Grow to make a special surprise for my Valentine.
Last year for Vday I received an arrangement from GROW – it was awesome – and I have both sent and received flowers from pro-flowers – I would say the difference is quality and design. The quality and design of the arrangement from GROW was leagues above Pro-flowers.
I’m excited to see the deal – I’m IN.
I’ve actually used pro-flowers several times and have never had trouble with any membership. I also watch my credit card statement each month and would question something like that right away. Sorry that you had a bad experience with them.
I’m just giving people options because Grow seems like the typical overpriced city place. If the arrangements are both nice, I’d go for the more reasonably priced ones.

I have gotten some beautiful arrangements from Grow. I have had my hip replaced and as I write this I am looking at a beautiful arrangment I recieved last week. Still fresh and alive. The flowers bring peace and joy to me each time I look at them. Every one loves flowers and this is a great deal. Thanks
I have to agree. I have gotten/sent flower from ProFlowers and while they are cheaper – the flowers come in a cardboard box and honestly both times died fairly quickly. 1800 flowers are nice but you pay a lot for a nice bouquet! I am excited to try GROW and get the quality and personalization I have heard people talk about!
I used to use Proflowers, but everyone that I sent flowers to said that they could get an arrangement as nice or nicer at the grocery store.
I only use independent florists now.
gina: Proflowers, 1800 flowers, etc use independent flower shops. And if your friends say that, it’s pretty tacky. Sounds like you work for Grow and are trying to defend them.
Proflowers, 1800flowers, etc. use the independent shops of their choice, not yours. You have no direct contact with the florist, so it becomes a crapshoot. Perhaps others have done better than I; I’ve had issues (delivery, quality, etc.) almost as many times as I’ve had successes. On the other hand, I have used Grow probably 5-6 times locally, and I’m not saying they’re the cheapest, but I’ve always received value for dollar. I do agree with you that I like to use independent florists, but I pick ‘em. (And no, I don’t work for Grow, or any florist for that matter. But I am in on today’s deal.) Thanks.

I see the artistry and the fresher look at grow flowers. However with just 5-6 pics on their website per price range, and comparing to all the other options out there..i am not inclined to get todays deal.
Let me add that i personally do not want to spend any more time and money than a few clicks and $80 on flowers. I can see how someone who wants to will like this deal.
I did not get scammed by ProFlowers, just providing the information on the scam they were running with another company for “free delivery”. Please see the links for further information.
I have been lucky enough to receive several arrangements from Grow. Generally they are delivered to my office and without fail everyone that sees the flowers asks: “WHERE did you get those flowers?” Not “what’s the occasion?” They are that creative & spectacular. In this day & age where everyone is rude.. there is something to be said for how nice the owners are.. .. if you are on the fence I would at least give them a call…
I have used Grow Flower Shop several times and have always received beautiful and very “unique” arrangements. Grow will go above and beyond to get any last minute orders filled and they never disappoint. I am definitely on board for this Groupon!!!
Just wanted to say that the creations done by the staff at GROW are unique, inspired, and forward thinking. They aren’t your typical 1-800 flower designs, not by any stretch of the imagination as you can see from their website.
If you are looking for a deal this Valentine’s Day and want to do something DIFFERENT than the norm (and this is coming from a girl who’d rather have a bouquet of a variety of flowers instead of boring, predictable roses), from a LOCAL store, try out GROW- after all- isn’t that why you are on Groupon? To try new things?
Sure, you have to order by February 5th- but really, is that so difficult? If you’re ordering flowers for your sweetie- just do it so you can get it over with! A guarantee you won’t forget :) Buy it for your man with a cute note about not only saving him money but also discreetly reminding him that Valentines is coming up!
This was the most misleading groupon I have bought yet. The fine print stated that this could be put towards any arrangement, however, when you actually use the groupon, you are only allowed to choose from 1 of 3 items. My husband went with the “roses.” They are the tackiest, most pathetic bunch of flowers I have ever received. The delivery was a box of 12 roses with baby’s breath!!! How 1980s. And this shop claims to be original. For the $40 we spent on this, we could have gotten 5x the amount and quality of flowers from Dominick’s with our Fresh Value card!
Grow should be ashamed of themselves for ripping off the public. I would never recommend this place, and in fact will make it a point to tell everyone how horrible they really are.
Wow beth I’m really shocked by that.
I used my GROW groupon and the arrangement delivered today was breathtaking – very creative – and definitely not something I could have gotten at Dominick’s. I wish there was a place to post pictures – because what we received was a far cry from ordinary roses. I ordered them for someone else – but I was very proud of it when I saw the pictures. I was never told I had only 3 choices – but of course because I know they are usually awesome – I just said I trust you make it fabulous – and that’s exactly what I got – in fact I’m kicking myself for not buying more groupons when they were available.
Sorry to hear about your flowers – that’s a bummer.
Similar to Beth K, I feel completely ripped off by this groupon. I put my order in for v-day weekend well in advance and chose to pick up my arrangement due to the $20 delivery charge they were trying to charge. I can imagine that they were busy v-day weekend but I only live about 1-2 miles away. In any event, the arrangement I received was in a fishbowl vase consisting of about 9 total flowers – 5 roses and 4 sunflowers with some baby’s breath. It’s expected that flower shops are going to jack up their rates for v-day weekend, but seriously? 9 flowers for $80? give me a break.
I guess there’s something to be said for groupon’s that are an assumed value rather than an actual value ($25 for $50 at a restaurant for example). I guess it’s reassuring to know that I wasn’t the only one that got taken for a ride on this groupon but just as frustrating – especially after promising my girlfriend something that would be unique/different/amazing instead of the standard bouquet of roses. I’m not usually one to comment on groupons since I’m typically very satisfied, but definitely felt the need to express my extreme dissatisfaction with this one. I’m sure nothing can be done at this point, but I would be more than happy to share a picture of my arrangement to compare it to what other’s received or merely to serve as a warning to people thinking of using GROW in the future.
If there is anyone out there that decides you don’t want to use your Groupon for GROW I will happily buy it from you fyi.

The flowers I got were nice..the GF loved em..
+ points for
1. They looked exactly like the picture (i chose the 3rd one from the left on the website in the $75-100 range)
2. Delivery was as promised
3. The flower design was better than most generic stuff other websites offered
- points for
1. The total with delivery was just over $100
2. I’d asked them to be a lil creative, nothing extra was done outside of the picture
I do not plan on using them again only because its more than I’d like to pay for flowers..i agree their designs are nicer..but still overpriced ! Also i wish they’d add more options on their website to choose from.
Ok Grow has made an effort to redeem themselves. I did express my unhappiness with the product to the owner of the store. She does guarantee her product 100%. As promised, she delivered another arrangement to our home today. This replacement is much more along the line of what I had been expecting all along. It is a true representation of what is displayed on their website.
She sent an elcectic mix of yellow roses and pink lillys with alot of accents. It is nothing like what I originally got.
I think that maybe with all the groupons, the store may have gotten overwhelmed and was not able to deliver as promised. I am happy that she stands behind her product and took responsibility to replace the arrangement.
worst decision I have made.
The flowers I ordered for my grandma were beautiful! I had asked if there was any way they could incorporate gardenias into the arrangement, and they looked into it for me. The answer was yes, and they would have been able to do it with fantastic style, but because I had to transport the arrangment across the state (and gardenias are fragile flowers that don’t last very long off the tree), I opted for the giant bouquet of more robust flowers. Great customer service and a beautiful arrangement!

before you spend money on this one, you should check out:
proflowers.com or 1800flowers.com. they have arrangements for $40 that are nice than the $75 arrangements from Grow Flower Shop. It’s cool that the are letting people use this for valentine’s day, I just think we can do better.
PLUS if you google proflowers.com or 1800flowers.com and coupon code you can save even more money from theses sights. Sorry Groupon, had to call you out on this one.
