Before a homeless, injured, or abused animal can seek permanent adoption, they require time to heal in a safe space. A no-kill organization, A Dog's Life Rescue (ADLR) provides shelter, nurture, and medical and emotional rehabilitation for abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs and other animals until they find permanent homes.
With an extended stay at the shelter prior to adoption, dogs have more time to heal, socialize with other animals and people, and undergo any necessary medical treatments. In most cases, after a 40-day period, an animal can fully transition from homelessness to becoming part of a family in a loving home.
