More than 20 million families in the United States have at least one family member with a disability, according to the Disability Funders Network, and only 35 percent of working-age adults with disabilities are currently employed. Enable, Inc. supports individuals with physical and developmental disabilities with services and living arrangements tailored to each person's needs and aspirations.
During Enable’s day program, five days of structured activities engage individuals with disabilities, allowing them to volunteer in their local community, interact socially with their peers and other adults, and improve their physical and cognitive well-being. Participants volunteer with Meals on Wheels and visit veterans, or learn new skills such as art, pet therapy, and horticulture. The day program empowers people with disabilities to tackle their goals and personal interests while building a recreational community in a structured environment.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help people with disabilities volunteer in the community and explore their interests. If G-Team members raise $400, then Enable can provide one week of day-program services for five people with disabilities. Each additional $80 raised will fund one week of day-program services for another person.
