Do you have to buy equipment to be in the different classes?

Jeff- The value is $149 for 1 month of classes, with no extra fees for that one month. If you want to continue classes after the first month, you will need to pay the initiation fee to continue from month to month.

Peggy- If you do kickboxing or boxing class, it is recommended to buy hand-wraps. You can borrow gloves for as long as you’d like. If you do long-term MMA, they recommend a mouthpiece, a long-sleeve black rash-guard (but you can use a long-sleeve T-shirt), and for men, they recommend a groin protector.

The wraps are $10 and are needed for kickboxing, boxing, and muay thai. We do have gloves to borrow. These classes are non contact. You will just be kicking and punching bags, mits, or your partner will hold targets for you. These are a great cardio work out, that will go over your basics.

The MMA Grappling class, which is another level 1 class that is open to you on this month, is what we recommend a long sleeve shirt for. We also recommend a mouthpiece, but these are not required. They are just recommended for your safety.

If you get the instructor approval for the level 2 classes, there are more gear requirements. The level 2 classes are where the sparring and real contact starts. You never have to go to level 2, but it is an option.

I purchased this deal as a gift and my order is in pending status. Before finalizing my purchase, I received the Unprotected site warning, and clicked the no selection, but it seemed my order completed anyway. Can u check the status to see if I need to do anything else to help push this thru to purchased status.

Thanks for the info on equipment, would that be pretty much the same for kids (I should have stated I was considering for my 9 and 13 year olds)?

The kids would be in our kids martial arts program. The kids do not need hand wraps. We again would recommend a mouthpiece, but do not require it. The kids would eventually need a gi and sparring gear if they decided to stay with it, but would not need anything for the month.

Yes, Level 1 classes are for beginners. You have until January 28, 2011 (one year) to start your one month.
