The skilled instructors of Epic Boardsports lead fun and informative kiteboarding classes sanctioned by the Professional Air Sports Association. One-hour Intro to Kiteboarding lessons plant pupils firmly in the sand and teach basic gear awareness, how to fly a trainer kite, and when to honk at speeding pelicans. Depending on kiteboarding familiarity, students can choose a lengthier three- to four-hour lesson made up of similarly experienced pupils. The terra firma Beginner 1 class practices launching and landing with inflatable kites on land, and Beginner 2 students perforate the ocean waters as they learn to launch, maneuver, and position their wind-powered vessel. Epic Boardsports encourages all participants to bring water and sunscreen and Beginner 2 students to come with their own water shoes.
