Before man conquered his fear of water, he amused himself with dust sports such as pushing boulders off cliffs, wrestling tumbleweeds, and falling in the dust. Rinse yourself off with this Groupon.

$75 for a Waterfall-Rappelling Experience for One (a $150 Value)

Certified outdoorsmen lead adventurers in challenging but safe waterfall-rappelling trips at locations within about 15 minutes from St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, which vary depending on the time of year and current water levels. After a practice jaunt down a dry slope into the gorge, guests hit the water clad in provided safety gear and harnesses. The trip lasts three to four hours and can be undertaken by guests 12 and older and less than 270 pounds, with an accompanying adult required for guests under age 16. Check out the FAQ for further information.

H2O Rappelling

In the vicinity of the most powerful waterfall on the continent, H2O Rappelling's adventurous father-son team Kam and Michael Bryant help people embark on physical and mental challenges. Emphasizing a safe and secure environment, the experienced outdoorsmen lead waterfall excursions in areas outside of St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. There, the trained and certified guides ease guests gradually into rappelling, starting with basic slopes and gentle pats on the back. Then they take to the water, descending down waterfalls into refreshing pools, basking in literal waters and figurative oceans of excitement.

The Groupon Guide to: Still-Life Painting

Still-life paintings are the easiest kind to do because everything you’re painting is already dead, thus holding still. Try out these subjects for your next still life:

  • A skull being used as a vase
  • A bunch of mangoes in a bowl but one of them is purple
  • Two teakettles. They don’t have faces, but do they somehow seem to be … talking to each other?
  • Onions
  • The bust of an ancient emperor sitting on a little girl’s nightstand
  • A wooden table strewn with a bunch of dead quail
  • A harpsichord gathering dust in a corner while a shiny electric guitar sits, well cared for, in a stand
  • A man’s hat, pipe, and book all sit on his chair, which has the imprint of his body, but there is no sign of the man.
  • A bunch of absurdly wet fruit

What can you do with a bunch of absurdly wet fruit?
