Questions and Answers

Can this also be used to stimulate facial hair growth?

Only hair growth that has a basis of testosterone will be stimulated by the laser (ex. beard or mustache). But it won't make fine facial hair (ex. peach fuzz) grow more aggressively. Also, the laser would need to be directly applied to that area to stimulate growth.

Does this work on a man's receding hairline? How many treatments would you recommend for a 28 yr old male with a minor to moderate receding hairline and generalized thinning? Thanks!

Charlie B. asked 9 months, 16 days, 12 hours, and 8 minutes ago - 1 answer

Lindsey R.

For moderate visible thinning of the hair, we would recommend a minimum of 3 months under the laser (24 treatments). However, if the hair is completely gone in certain areas, a combination of laser therapy and hair transplant might end up being the most effective course of treatment. That is something we would go over with you in your consultation if necessary once we can actually evaluate your particular type of hair loss.

I wonder if the treatment is effective for all kinds of hair loss? Or just the more severe type? Thanks!

Chia C. asked 9 months, 17 days, 17 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

Lindsey R.

Hello and thank you for your question. Laser Hair Therapy is effective for all kinds of hair loss, moderate to severe. Those with moderate hair thinning/loss tend to see results quicker than severe cases unless the hair loss is due to a medical condition (for example: hypothyroidism). More severe hair thinning/loss may need combination of laser hair therapy and transplant, whereas moderate cases can typically be managed with only laser hair therapy.
