The Havana Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Phoenix.
I would recommend it even without the GROUPON discount.
The Cubin food is “MOST EXCELLANT” and the “Paella a la Havana” is a MUST.
Buy extras for your friends and family but you’ll probably use them all for yourself.

On Havana’s website, they indicate that there was an error with the Groupon and you CANNOT use multiple per table. SEE BELOW:

This deal is 1 per table, dine in only, but want to recommend their Completas — my family had the Christmas Completa meal for our Christmas dinner and it was FABULOUS! Would recommend dining at one of the three locations (with this Groupon) AND trying a take-home Completa, both are fantastic.
I can really appreciate a good bait and switch……only when I’m the one baiting and switching.

As a consumer, I would be thoroughly upset too. The only person to blame here is me as I am the one who sees the deal through and ensures that everything is included in the “Fine Print.” Not only in the best interest of the subscriber, but the business as well. I’m sorry if this has left a bad taste in anyone’s mouth. I’ve run several features so far that have been nothing but straightforward and I plan on continuing to do so. Please keep in mind that you can modify your purchase by going to “My Groupons” and clicking “Edit Purchase.”

I understand the mistake. This is my first time on the site so I’m sure you can understand my concern. You sort of knocked the nest out of the trust tree, it’s going to take time to re-build that nest.
I agree with Matt and Bill – although unfortunate I understand that this was an honest mistake, not a “bait and switch”. I wouldn’t expect this to be any different than the other “Limit 1 per table” offers on this site (I looked at past offers before I bought) and actually didn’t notice the omission until I read the discussion thread here. This is my first Groupon purchase and it won’t be my last, there are great deals here.
Eh – it’s disappointing but mistakes happen, and Brett, I forgive you. ;)
Everyone’s entitled to one do-over.
$35 for $15 is still an awesome deal and I’m looking forward to taking my in-laws out when they come to visit next month, using the Groupon I got them as a gift, and then enjoying my 2nd Groupon I bought for myself for a nice night out with my husband.

I love Groupon! I purchase groupons on a regular basis and have never had any problems! I buy them for myself and for friends! I look forward to my daily e-mail. However, I’m confused on this groupon because of the change in fine print. Just to clarify, could I use 1 Havana Cafe groupon for me and a friend (on the same night)? Or do I have to purchase 1 for each of us? I dont think I can eat $35 worth of food by myself.

*Can you be any more juvenile? It was an honest mistake and obviously Groupon is not in the business of “bait and switch” or else the service wouldn’t be as successful as it is. They informed us as soon as they realized the mistake and apologized…they answered our questions, gave an explanation and apologized AGAIN. If you’re the epitome of perfection and have never make a mistake in your life, you may have the right to contribute your snide and harpy comments; otherwise, shut your pie-hole.
This is a service you *CHOOSE to use, therefore no one owes you anything nor are you entitled to anything other than what is being offered. If you can get past that then enjoy the deals and the great service that Groupon and their clients provide. If not, please feel free to move on and not come back; we can do without your negativity. Sheesh.

However, it wasn’t anger but rather disgust that I felt. I’ll try to work on that. Really. I will. Here’s hoping you get everything you deserve, and even some you don’t, in the new year.
I purchased this Havana Cafe groupon but received no e-mail recipt or Groupon. I have no way to know if the purchase will show up on my credit card and I hope I will still be sent the dicount that I ordered.
I purchased one of these, but I wasn’t sure if alcohol was included in this offer.
FYI – I just read that closed the Ahwatukee location.
Well, this sucks. I live in Chandler and would never have bought the groupon if I had known I would have to drive all the way up to Bell Rd to use it. What a waste of $15 :(
What’s even more disappointing than the “fine print” mix up is I went to the Ahwatukee restaurant on Valentine’s weekend for dinner with my sweetie and it’s closed. The Groupon lists all three locations.
The only reason we purchased this Groupon was because we live a half mile from the “now closed” Ahwatukee location. Not really happy that we have to drive all over the Valley if we want to use this one. I really don’t think closing a restaurant is an overnight decision and have to think that this was already on their minds when they made this deal. False advertising at its best!
I purchased several to use at the Chandler Blvd location. Is there no recourse for all of us in the Ahwatukee area? Now I will worry about all my yet-to-be-used Groupons from other businesses. My purchase power is definitely on hold for Groupons.
I think we all need to take it easy on Brett. Who hasn’t made a mistake at least once in their life! Most people know that just about all the Groupons are 1 coupon per table and let’s face it, that in itself is still a good deal. No way was this a bait and switch or intentional dishonesty. Just an unfortunate mistake.
Now, moving on to the restaurant in question……….we went to the Bell Rd location and what a great hidden gem. We likely would not have dined there if it had not been for the Groupon. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. The only negative was the plastic outdoor chairs used inside the restaurant. Not really all that comfortable. However, the food more than made up for the chairs. It was something a little different and we would definitely return. Keep up the great restaurant selections Groupon Staff!
I had this group and forgot before it expired. I asked the restaurant if I could use it for the amount I paid not the discounted price and they said no. Can I get my money back?
