The skilled instructors of Hawaiian Surf Adventures teach wave-seeking students to glide across the sea without worrisome crowds or competition. After a 30-minute land lesson that outlines the tonalities of traditional dolphin greetings, instructors lead small groups of surfers aboard a private surfboat for a 20-minute ride to an isolated surf break. At the remote, crowd-less surf spot, students hop on their boards––all provided by Hawaiian Surf Adventures––and paddle about the cerulean deep. They spend a full hour flitting about the ocean’s swells and avoiding the occasional Charybdis, all under the watchful eye and tutelage of expert wave catchers. Instructors can snap photos to commemorate the experience for an additional fee ($30).
