$15 for $30 Worth of Italian-American Food at Dinner

Chicken, bacon, mushrooms, roasted bell peppers, and scallions top the Hawthorne specialty pizza ($11.35–$16.95), and a creamy garlic sauce ensconces linguine pasta and shrimp ($15.95). A half-pound charbroiled burger is served with a choice of regular fries, sweet-potato fries, house chips, or coleslaw ($6.95). See the full dinner menu.

The Hawthorne Inn

A proud staple of Labadie for more than two decades, the Hawthorne Inn and its co-owners, Cathy and Chris Hancock, pay homage to the old railroad town with the Labadie Locomotive pizza, flecked with pepperoni, sausage, meatballs, and pepperoncini. On a mural behind the bar, local artist Bryan Hayes celebrates the steam engines and nuclear-powered cabooses of years past, and hand-trimmed steaks and pretzel-encrusted trout are served in present-day portions. Wines travel from as far as Missouri, California, or overseas to fill the tavern's glasses, along with a large selection of domestic and imported beers.

The Groupon Guide to: Forensics

Detectives use the scientific principles of forensics to track down criminals and lock them away in the American Criminal Vault. Here's your guide to tracking down bad guys like a pro:

Look for Fingerprints: Criminals cover their hands in a thick layer of petroleum jelly before committing theft so that they can easily pick up any stray flecks of gold lying around rich people's houses; however, this sticky hand coating often leaves behind incriminating residue.

Collect Clues: Anything that seems amiss could be a clue: a half-written letter, a shower left running, a man tied to a pole in a basement. Don't take these little hints for granted.

Interview Witnesses: Contrary to popular belief, 94% of crimes are committed in the presence of a court-certified, undercover witness. These "viewers of violence," "watchers of wayward acts," and "minders of malfeasance" could be anyone from the man on the street corner asking if you know where he could watch some crimes to the woman in your office asking if you know where she could watch some crimes. Listen to what these "beholders of beheading" have to say.

Where are the beholders of beheading hiding?
