Healing Alternatives Meditation Center fosters a heightened awareness and deeper relationship with one's own body and mind. Founder Lisa Chapman-Sorci, a certified Komyo Reiki Kai teacher since 2001, employs skills honed in hospitals, wellness institutions, and animal shelters to calm energy fields with the traditional Japanese practice of reiki. Accredited teachers host weekly meditation classes for beginners to advanced meditators held in their comfy meditation room adorned with soft red pillows and floor-to-ceiling windows. Through behavioral therapy and life coaching, certified therapist Alicia O'Hara gives patients the tools to manage day-to-day challenges. Both Alicia and DeAnna Torres offer hypnotherapy as a way to connect with the subconscious mind. Patients also exercise bodies along with minds through yin yoga classes, which allow time to fully explore postures through a gentle soundtrack of one hand clapping.
