Choose from Three Options

  • $25 for one all-inclusive day pass (a $55 value)
  • $45 for two all-inclusive day passes (a $110 value)
  • $85 for four all-inclusive day passes (a $220 value)

Each pass comes with 20 tasting tickets for beer, wine, cocktails, and cigars (including five tickets reserved for cigars only), and grant admission to the gala on either Saturday, September 1, from noon to 6 p.m., or Sunday, September 2, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

From the classic-car showcase to an acrobatic burlesque show to the old-fashioned pool lounge, Speakeasy shuttles modern-day merrymakers into Roaring Twenties–level revelry and convinces passing time travelers that their chrono-maps are out of date. Bartenders in the Makers and Shakers mixology championship pit their spirited concoctions against each other for a spot on the drinks menu at the Falcons’ home stadium, and Iron Chefs Uncork’d sets Atlanta’s supper stars to work alchemizing a complete menu that incorporates the secret ingredient. The weekend's entertainment lineup also surrounds the merriment with live jazz.

The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival

A hidden entrance guarded by password sets the tone for The Speakeasy Cocktail Festival. Inside is a 1920s-style celebration of the best in Georgian spirits, cigars, and fine food in a transformed Georgia World Congress Center, thrown with Prohibition-era panache. The Georgia Homebrewed Program shines a spotlight on area brewers, vintners, and distilleries large and small, and the democratic Speakeasy People’s Choice Awards crowns one beer, one wine, and one liquor with the perfectly creased fedoras of popular recognition. All event proceeds benefit The Health Education & Communication Center of Atlanta, which focuses especially on combating childhood obesity.

The Groupon Guide to: Receiving a Home Visit from a Cable or Satellite Technician

Rarely—very rarely—in your adult life, you may be called upon to receive an unusual stranger in your home. Do not be alarmed by their well-worn uniforms and arsenal of strange tools—they are a representative from the company that provides you with television and Internet service.

In the rare—very rare—event that your cable or Internet briefly ceases working, one of these ragged strangers may arrive on your doorstep. Do not panic. Do not spray them with your hose, still connected from checking on the garden during the free time resultant from your Internet outage. Invite them in. You are expecting them, even if you do not remember.

Do not offer them food, water, or coffee—they are instructed not to take it, and this will make the situation uncomfortable for both of you. If you wish, you may look them in their eyes. Despite the rest of their outward appearance, you will see they have two, beautiful eyes.

Quickly they will set to work, repairing the machines that bring invisible electric signals into your home that help you and your family laugh, love, and share your lives with friends all over the world. Repairs will be brisk and complete, and you will never know the technician's name or have need of them again.

In the rare—very rare—event that your repair visit is somehow delayed, incomplete, or frustrating in anyway, please be assured that this has never happened before, nor will it again. The technician who disappointed you has already been vaporized in the shame chamber. Thank you for choosing Cable, Satellite & Internet.

Which cable provider vaporizes its most disappointing employees?
