Hey everyone this is Megan from Groupon Washington. Once you purchase the deal you will receive an e mail confirmation stating that you purchased the deal. This is just a confirmation and letting you know that your card will be charged after midnight.
Hi Megan – I purchased several hours ago and did not received a confirmation email. i signed in through FB connect; after purchasing, I looked at my settings and realized that there was no email listed, so I added my gmail account: catpear @ gmail (dot) com. When I did not recieve an activation email, I clicked “resend activation email” and have still not received an email. Can you help?

Hey Cat,
I talked to customer service and they have activated you through your gmail account. You will receive your Groupon voucher tomorrow in your e mail. You will no longer need to use Facebook Connect for this.
You are all set. Please feel free to contact us in the future with any questions or concerns! Enjoy your purchase!
Hi Megan (and everyone else!),
I actually just had the same exact problem that Cat had – I signed in via Facebook, noticed that there was no e-mail address, added my e-mail address, clicked “resend activation e-mail” and still haven’t received anything. Any chance you can help?

Hi Sandy,
Customer service took care of it. You will get your e mail tomorrow.
If anyone else has these issues today or for future please contact customer at support@groupon.com and Customer Service would be more than happy to help you!

Can you buy 2 and use them both on yourself? Like one for facial and one for mani-pedi? I know this is selfish…but I can’t decide on one :)
I tried to get this deal last night but nothing came through.
I’m so bummed I missed out on this deal yesterday! Is there any way I can still get it? I just want one package to try out.
Thanks for any help!
Jennifer

Hello Jennifer,
Unfortunately each deal is only available for 24 hours except for the Friday deals that run over the weekend. After that the deal is closed.
Check back daily for fun an exciting deals in DC.
I also just sent an email to support@groupon.com, but I see that staff is monitoring this discussion so I’ll post here, too. Last night I joined this Groupon. This morning I had an email saying my credit card was unable to be processed. I clicked on “quit this deal.” I just checked my bank statement online and have a pending transaction for this $60. I’m happy to have the deal, but I need my confirmation email. It isn’t showing up in my Point menu under purchased Groupons either. Otherwise, please issue a refund. Help!
Kristen

Kristen,
I am actually just the Account Manager for DC, and replying since I know all the details of the deals running. As far as your issue goes, this would have to go to the hands of customer service, as I do not have access to the back end of the website. If you sent an email to support@groupon.com someone should get back to you promptly. Please don’t hesitate to call customer service during regular business hours at 877 788 7858.
Thanks!
Can anyone tell me if you can use both mani-pedis for yourself, or do you have to “bring a friend” as the promotion suggests, making it a one-visit deal?

Tricia,
Yes you are able to use them both yourself! Just let Hela know how you plan to redeem it so they can accurately track your redemption. “Bringing a friend” was just a suggestion of another way to use the Groupon. It’s make a great bday/outing gift for you and a friend.
Megan
I just called to make an appointment for mani/pedis and was told they don’t have a manicurist right now that I needed to call back around july 15. great coordination with the groupon. a little annoyed that i have to wait and wonder if they will ever get a manicurist.
has anyone else tried to call the chevy chase salon?
That’s a disappointment. I was wondering why I didn’t see the service listed on the site. The main reason I bought this one is to get my nails done before a trip…the week of the 15th!
Thanks for letting us know.
I just called to make an appointment and was told they would only take people between 9 AM or 2 PM and then insisted that they stated that on the groupon. I only noticed it not being available on Saturday and Sunday. Basically now I’ll have to take time off to use it. Its not even worth it.

MARY,
I just wanted to let you know that they do have a manicurist on staff and they do offer the mani/pedis. We encountered an unforeseen circumstance the day of the feature due to a family emergency. I do apologize for the inconvenience but with this extenuating circumstance the only thing I can offer is that if you have an issue with needing to use your voucher before the 15th please email customer service to discuss your options. Support@groupon.com
With any service that we run that requires an appointment, they are all subject to availability. This is also why we select the expiration date as to accommodate the business and the consumer.
Hi
I too am having trouble using this groupon! They have no availability in the evenings until late into the summer (when I won’t even be in town) and they can only accommodate 2 people back-to-back or at different times since they only have one person available.
I bought this groupon to use for a friend’s birthday. We had a month to use it as I’m moving in August. I called the day after I bought the groupon and was alerted to the Family Emergency. I was told I would be put on a waiting list for Sunday, July 26th and that someone would call me once they figured things out with their technician. I’ve called back several times and have been told repeatedly that they don’t have a nail technician. I was put on a “waiting list” for the 26th each time. I tried again today as I’m running out of time before I leave town and was told they did indeed have a technician but that she could not do Sundays. At this point it’s too late for me to schedule a different day. Is it possible to get a refund?
This groupon is completely annoying. I am wondering if anyone else got attitude from Hela staff when you mentioned Groupon? It seemed like they wouldn’t try to accommodate you if you were a Groupon user. Also not pleased they took a credit card number to hold my spot, I’ve basically already paid (not full price mind you), so the thought of them charging me again seems a little unfair, I could understand voiding the Groupon, but charging full price on top of what you’ve already paid isn’t cool. Not that I plan on missing my appt.
I already had one of my mani pedi’s late summer and was pretty disappointed. The Groupon lists that I would receive “Two Deluxe Mani-Pedi’s: make your nails look amazing as your hands and feet are pampered by a salt scrub and paraffin or seaweed wax. In the deluxe package, the technicians at the Chevy Chase location will spend extra time massaging your hands and feet…” I got a regular mani pedi- there was not paraffin or seaweed wax or any sort of massage- a “$240 value” is the biggest load of nonsense I have ever heard! I’m pretty annoyed with this false advertising but I didn’t ruffle anyone’s feathers because $30 for a mani pedi is a pretty good deal in itself and the people at Hela treated me as a second rate citizen when they found out I had a Groupon….I already felt like I was inconveniencing them- so much so that I guilted myself into leaving a $20 tip…..yea…i’m that nice
I recently redeemed my Groupon and was very pleased with my service.
I had no problems scheduling — but I also had a feeling when I bought the Groupon in July that a lot of women would be interested in this deal and decided to wait until things settled down to schedule my appointment. I called in October or November, to make an appointment specifically for this week and the staff had no problem scheduling me at a time that was convenient for me — after work on a Friday, which is a super time for me and one I wasn’t even sure they’d have!
JoElle was my facial technician, and she took the time to talk with me about my skin, the problems I’ve had with it, what she did during my facial, and what further steps I could take to improve my skin. Unlike some dermatologists I’ve seen in the past, she listened to what I had to say and didn’t try to force a treatment on me. Also, unlike some other facials I’ve had in the past (that did not cost quite the same as the full-price service at Hela, but weren’t cheap) I didn’t leave feeling like I was in pain from extractions, or that my face was burning from a product she used. It’s been nearly a decade since my last facial because the last one I had was THAT bad, and my experience with JoElle was great.
All of the staff I encountered at Hela were also very friendly — I’ll admit, I was nervous when I called to schedule my appointment because of some of these comments and because I knew I’d have to mention the Groupon. But it was an absolute non-issue when it came to how the staff treated me. I was treated with warmth and respect, and I was never treated as “second rate.” Staff was very polite and helpful. I really appreciated the time JoElle and other staff took to talk with me and treat me as an indivudual — overall I enjoyed my experience, and I would definitely go back.
Hi, me again, from 3 comments ago. I want to clarify- I bought two of the groupon’s- one for the mani-pedi and one for the facial. The mani-pedi staff in Chevy Chase were the ones with attitude. The facial in G-town was fantastic. Very friendly and great facial. The two salons are like night and day.
I had great experiences with the mani/pedis at the Chevy Chase location. Both times I called I got an appointment within a week (Thursday evening in October, Friday evening in December). The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They had a good selection of polish colors and my nails look great! I was very pleased with this Groupon and would recommend the Chevy Chase location to my friends.
If anyone is unable to use the groupon, I am interested to purchase.

Anybody else having a problem with a conformation that you bought this deal? I either have none or 15.
