As San Francisco and Baltimore battle it out for football’s greatest honor on Sunday, February 3, Homefield Sports Bar opens its doors for a party featuring three open bars, a gourmet buffet, and the big game displayed on several high-definition TVs. From 5 p.m. until the game ends, fans can drink from draft-beer towers, unlimited bottle and draft beers, wine, and specialty cocktails including margaritas, martinis, and shooters, and eat helpings of everything from half-shell oysters and Alaskan snow-crab legs to ribs, wings, hamburgers, and loaded tater tots. The gourmet buffet also features a full salad and dessert bar.

Homefield Sports Bar is "not your typical sports bar," says Nancy Eagleton of the Kendall Gazette. "Instead of a dark, cramped space, think light and spacious." This welcoming atmosphere is by design. The owners wanted to build a family-oriented sports bar and their intentions influenced everything from the clean appearance to the diverse menu. For instance, the kitchen staff grills burgers and baby back ribs, tosses together crisp salads, and cooks salmon, dolphin, and snapper one of five ways before topping the fish with a choice of seven salsas. Perched above the tables, a multitude of LCD TVs and large projectors play sporting events. Homefield is an official Florida State University alumni destination for game days, and it also tunes in to Panther hockey, Heat basketball, Dolphin football, and Skunk-Ape thumb wrestling.
