It is a very short display. The lady guide was brief and not child friendly. We were not given directions to the few games in the room. She showed a few pictures then turned on a short video and left the room not to return at all.

The Honeybee Centre’s Bees & Bugs Lab teaches visitors about insects and arthropods with myriad hands-on exhibits. Live bees and other invertebrates offer a fascinating look at how the creatures live and eat. On the way out, each visitor receives a free honey stick to enjoy. The lab is open on Saturdays and Sundays and on statutory holidays. Children aged 3 and younger are admitted for free.

well, they don't actually have the Bees and Bugs lab anymore... so the groupon needs to be reworded... but they did have a demo of smoking a hive and explanation at the observation hive which was super cool... I think I enjoyed it more than the kids!

We enjoyed the demostration, but were disappointed that the Bee and Bug Lab was gone. There was a bit of confusion over whether or not our Groupon could be used at Urban Safari or not.

The day we went the Honeybee centre wasn't actually open for any tours so they sent us down to the animal rescue refuge centre, about a 10 min. Drive down the road. They had a wonderful selection of animals that had been pets at one time & had been either abandoned or dropped off because the owners couldn't/didn't want to look after them anymore. The 4&6 yr. load that I took were fascinated with the animals & the insect collection. We ended up spending almost 2 hrs there! Well worth while & they accepted the groupon.
