Erin, Do you only operate in NYC or other cities as well?

Ashish B. answered 1 year, 1 month, 24 days, 20 hours, and 46 minutes ago

Erin S.

Hi Arhish -- We're in all cities -- anyone, anywhere can use HowAboutWe. Here's more on that topic from our FAQ: (http://www.howaboutwe.com/faq) As of December 1, 2010 the site is live everywhere! If there aren't too many people in your area yet, help us grow by inviting your friends to join and to invite their friends. (Background info: we launched exclusively in New York City in April, 2010 but have now expanded.)

Thanks Erin. I stay in Washington DC. Will you be able to share some statistics on number of members there? If there are enough, I might try the groupon ..

In case you want to learn more, here are some things people are saying about us: - "Dating sites typically match couples based on stated preferences generally fabricated to attract other singles -- if someone's that into "curling up with a good book", then why are they browsing the net for Moby Dick? Focusing on things you'll actually do together instead: How About We." http://www.thrillist.com/washington-dc/howaboutwe - "It’s a dating website focused on setting up people that like to do the same thing ... Q; I just did the free sign-up on the website, but then I noticed the Groupon says for new members only. I just set up the free profile to see what the site is all about. Will I still be able to redeem the Groupon? A: Yep! You need a HowAboutWe account to redeem your Groupon, so you're golden. The way it will work is that you sign in and then can go to a special page to enter your Groupon code. "New members only" refers only to those who already have a subscription.

I'm already signed up for the HowAboutWe site. What does this get us that is not included in the free membership?

attempted to subscribe using promo code from groupon. Got "invalid promotion code error. Posted a Sunday date, attempting to respond.

subscription data issue resolved. Now, I'm newly confused. See my response to the response to my posted date... " I'm confused. You say "I am the only son of Mr and Mrs Smith... seeking...,a strong man, a compassionate woman... I specifically indicated that I am a male, interested in women. Please un-confuse me!"

I bought this groupon, but the site doesn't seem to have very many people on it. I'm pretty disappointed because it looked like a good idea. Oh well.
