Like hunting clay pigeons in a neighbor's backyard, modern photography is much more complex than simply pointing and shooting. See all the complexities with this Groupon.
Choose Between Two Options
- $69 for a four-hour Basic Level photography workshop (a $150 value)
- $69 for any three-hour Intermediate to Advanced photography class (a $150 value)
In four hours, learn a seven-step approach to consistently make digital photos look more professional. Photographer Bruce Hudson teaches the basic camera operations, image-composition principles, how to capture light, and how to create slideshows or fine-art prints from finished images. The workshop makes an excellent supplement for those gifted a camera.
Students can choose from three Intermediate to Advanced workshops. In Mastering the Technical Stuff, participants learn how to use proper ISO, adjust white balance for real-life situations, and use the shutter speed and f-stop to alter images. The "Artsy" Stuff covers the artistic aspects of photography, including color, shape, composition, and storytelling. The Advanced Lighting Workshop teaches students about the importance and manipulation of lighting in their photos.
Hudson's Photo Workshops
In addition to teaching amateurs the ways of the camera, the photographers at Hudson's Photo Workshops have been coaching professional photographers for over 25 years. They create portraits on location or at the Tukwila studio, which is replete with low lighting, plush couches, and neutral-toned walls. The final images look wholesome and classic, ideal for a large custom wall display in your home. In addition to capturing portraits, the photographers outfit clients with prints and digital slideshows that facilitate online sharing. Classes elucidate photography techniques, including the rule of thirds and how to capture a 20-story human pyramid without a wide-angle lens.
