the description talks about hair, but I just wanted to confirm that the groupon can be used for nails and toes too.

if you read it, it says clearly "Replenish finger gardens with a classic manicure ($15), or grind down winter toe talons with a classic pedicure ($35). "

Just want to make sure it’s clear. Hugo Salon only offers hair services. Their spa (including all facial, massage, nail services etc) has closed.

I’m really torn with this Groupon. I use to go to Hugo all the time, and have had some of the best experiences there, but I stopped going two years ago because on back to back occasions I had the WORST experiences there with some staff and how my hair turned out. Has anyone been there lately? Anyone had good experiences the last year or so? I spent almost 300.00 on my hair the last time I was there and left in tears on my way to a black tie wedding. I am torn if I should go back and give it another try or not…the fact that they have downsized and closed their spa services just worries me more…

I just wanted to respond to your inquiry. I’m terribly sorry to hear about your experiences and we’d love to make it up to you! I had a couple of Marianne’s with the last name beginning with “S” so I couldn’t check who you visited before, but I can definitely recommend a senior stylist that will be able to listen to you and focus on what you’re looking for.

I’ll tell you, just as a bit of reassurance, that the spa closing was a step in the right direction. For our first 15 years we were a hair salon only. Since we had the space, we added spa/nail services. But really it was never our passion or strength and we felt like we were offering a service to our clients that they could receive elsewhere better. We didn’t feel right in that situation and hope that our clients are comforted by the change.

If you’re willing, feel free to give me a call at the salon and we can talk about your hair type, who would be best suited to you and how we can make sure your walk out of here raving about what a difference a couple year makes :-)

I just had my hair cut & highlighted with Samantha – awesome!!! I’m very happy with her, she is helping me grow out a prior bad haircut and the color is spot on!

Can anyone tell me if they had any experience or witnessed any haircare for African American? How was the service/experience?

Google says the Wheaton Metro station is 0.7 miles away and should take 14 minutes to walk from Metro to the salon.

Used my Groupon to get a cut with Samantha. She, and the cut, is awesome!!
