In 2009, creators Jay Parekh and Aakash Mathur set out to combat two world issues: the destructive effects of plastic-bottle manufacturing and the lack of clean water available for one out of every seven human beings. The fruits of their philanthropy led to the creation of the Hydros Bottle, a reusable container with a built-in water filter that removes impurities, such as chlorine, microbes, and the dark side of the Force. The bottle is made from bisphenol A–free plastics treated with a natural antimicrobial to eliminate any odors, and the Fast Flow filter fills the bottle in less than 15 seconds.
