During the Beer & Bacon class, students learn about the history of four beers and compare their flavors when paired with four types of bacon. Tangy flavors of aged whiskey and the sugary-sweetness of gourmet cupcakes mingle as teachers explain the whiskey-making process, regions, varieties, and aging. Both the Beer & Bacon and Whiskey & Cupcakes classes are held at restaurants, bars, and kitchen spaces across Detroit. Sessions are available at Tom’s Oyster Bar in Royal Oak and the Beer & Bacon class has additional sessions at Kuhnhenn Brewing Co. in Warren.
