At the start of the party, staff members set up plates, cups, and napkins and provide pizza and juice. During the party, instructors give martial-arts demonstrations and lead karate-centric games, after which they cut the birthday cake with an authentic samurai sword. As a gift, the birthday child receives a souvenir T-shirt and one month of karate classes. The staff handles all cleanup.

This approach helps them train students as young as 4 years old in the art of karate. These all-ages classes focus on flexibility, coordination, and basic self-defense skills. Instructors also help adults obliterate calories and take out aggression against the punching bag that once spurned them in kickboxing classes set to up-tempo music. Instead of sparring, individuals undergo an ever-changing series of workouts with heavy bags, medicine balls, weights, and plyometrics.
