After a consultation, technicians calibrate the Candela GentleYag laser to bypass the skin on its mission to disable hair production and inspire pores to write psychedelic poetry. Under the heat of the laser, hair falls out and the follicles of the targeted area cease operation, leaving skin smooth and sleek. Since the laser is attracted by pigment in the follicle, this procedure is most effective for patients with dark hair. Six treatments spaced six weeks apart may be necessary for the eradication of furry areas, as each treatment will catch follicles at varying stages of the hair-growth cycle.
