During the two-hour classes held on Friday evenings, small groups of students learn the fundamentals of flower arranging before taking home their arrangement at the end of the evening. All materials are provided.

In Water

Walking into In Water feels more like walking into an art gallery than a florist. The sleek, high ceilings and full windows act as a minimalistic backdrop for the explosions of hot pink and deep, earthy greens from the global array of fresh flowers. Roses from South America, tulips from Holland, foliage from New Zealand, and mushroom flowers from underground mole cities preen in eye-catching displays. London-trained Andrei Abramov and Natasha Tchesnokova painstakingly handcraft the arrangements, coupling the lush flowers with bundles of kale leaves or small apples.

The duo shares its love of the floral arts with flowering-arranging hobbyists and professional florists at the In Water Flower School. Andrei, Natasha, and other experts lead students through full- or half-day workshops, evening classes, or weeklong florist-training sessions. They teach everything from how to arrange a foam-based centerpiece to how to snatch flowers from a neighbor’s yard without leaving evidence.
