Choose Between Two Options

  • $25 for a 60-minute group horseback-riding lesson for one (a $50 value)
  • $45 for a 60-minute group horseback-riding lesson for two (a $100 value)

Each session accepts up to four riders per group and includes instruction on how to halter and lead a horse, the fundamentals of grooming and tacking, and basic controls in the saddle. All instruction takes place in a ring or arena, though the session may include group trail riding if time and skills permit. Each rider should arrive 30 minutes early and wear long pants and tennis shoes. Lessons are offered Monday–Friday at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

In Your Dreams Farm

On the 30-acre parcel of woods and pasture belonging to In Your Dreams Farm, head instructor Keely Ryan grooms students of all ages into skilled and steady horseback riders through lessons in hunter and jumper and western riding. Her commitment to excellence mirrors that of the farm’s honorable history: prior to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, it hosted the US Equestrian Team for pre-event training sessions and post-event lessons on how to explain Olympic history to a horse. Today, students ranging from absolute beginners to gold-medal favorites refine their techniques in an immersive equestrian environment, complete with two outdoor jumping areas and a lighted indoor arena. Throughout the summer, the farm also hosts youngsters for four-day riding camps, which gives them the chance to participate in two lessons each day, rides along wooded trails, and games.
