Kathryn, If you have questions about your treatment plan, your doctor will be available by phone or email. We want the program to be successful for you! Several of our doctors are in network with Kaiser (if you call us we can direct you to one of them for your initial visit) so follow up visits may be covered if you have ND coverage and if you have any health problem the detox may help (eg. painful menstruation, heavy menstruation, digestive issues, sleep problems, fatigue, etc. (the detox can help almost any health problem, so as long as there is some issue to treat, insurance is a good option for follow up visits. Hi Richard, The Groupon stands on its own, if that is how you wish to use it. Success rates on the weight loss portion of the plan are higher if people do purchase the medicinary for their customized plan, because that is how addresses what you need as an individual (based on your one hour visit with one of our physicians) to lose weight quickly and relatively effortlessly, as well as address any health issues that are causing you to retain weight (the drops for the basic, non-customized program are included with the Groupon). Rates of maintenance of your new weight are higher for people who go through the Stabilization and Maintenance phases. We see patients on the Insights to Heath 21-Day Weight Loss and Detoxification Program (that is the name of it) every three weeks. If insurance covers the subsequent visits the patient is responsible for the copayment and any medicinary items prescribed. If insurance does not cover visits, the fee is $117 for a basic follow-up visit of 30 minutes. This is a discounted rate for our non-insurance patients. Many people find us through the Groupon initially and then realize that we can help them reach all of their health goals. Since weight loss itself does not usually create optimal health, our ultimate goal as holistic physicians is to help every patient to create the level of health where they have balanced hormones, abundant energy, even moods, low stress, healthy relationships, refreshing sleep and freedom from food cravings.
