Full-time cosmetology students will dedicate nine hours per day on Tuesday–Saturday to learning the ins and outs of the beauty industry through both classroom courses and hands-on practice. Alternatively, students can enroll in a single class, Makeup Mania, where they’ll learn everything that happens behind the scenes at salons, including licensing requirements and regulations, advertising, and salon safety. Both the Makeup Mania class and the Total Look seminar last between 1.5 and 2 hours.

INSO Hair School

A strict curriculum of classroom work and hands-on practice drives INSO Hair School, where cosmetologists-in-training can garner all the skills they need to jumpstart their careers. Throughout the 18-month program, students immerse themselves in class five days per week and learn the basics of cosmetology theory, practice, and business knowledge from veteran industry professionals. As their schooling progresses, pupils practice their newly acquired skillsets on real customers and fastidious Chia Pets in the clinic. There, they shampoo, cut, color, and blow-dry under the watchful eye and careful instruction of their teachers. Clients who are eager and willing to play the part of the guinea pig can enjoy discounted hair services that include deep-conditioning treatments, highlights, and permanent color.
