Questions and Answers

Can botox or dysport be used around the mouth area to reduce "frown mouth"?

Becky H. asked 8 months, 21 days, 17 hours, and 9 minutes ago - 1 answer

Nikki I.

Typically, we use a dermal filler for nasolabial folds (smile/frown lines). It CAN be injected in that area in certain situations (we would recommend a consultation first).

It comes as a powder and is reconstituted as directed but it is never diluted.

What is the difference between dysport and botox? Is one better than the other?

Cindy M. asked 8 months, 25 days, 8 hours, and 39 minutes ago - 1 answer

Nikki I.

Both Botox and Dysport are the same product (Botulinum Toxin Type A). However, it typically takes about double the amount of units of Dysport to be equivalent to Botox. We typically see quicker results with Dysport but it varies by person. Both BOTOX and DYSPORT both last about 3-4 months from the time of injection, but again, varies by person.

How many units are usually needed for crow's feet? Also, are the units ever diluted?

Kelly R. asked 8 months, 25 days, 11 hours, and 34 minutes ago - 1 answer

Nikki I.

The units are not typically diluted. The Crow's Feet would be considered ONE AREA of treatment so you would need to purchase 1 Voucher for $149.

What if I don't want to use 25 units of botox at one time? Could you credit my account for a second visit?

Donna C. asked 8 months, 25 days, 15 hours, and 20 minutes ago - 1 answer

Nikki I.

We use Botox in 25 unit increments for best results per area, so there shouldn't be any left over. It may be best that you come in for a consultation to determine the number of units and/or areas needed according to your desired results.

How many units of Botox or Dysport do you usually use if someone wants their forehead done?

Michelle F. asked 8 months, 25 days, 15 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

Nikki I.

The forehead would be considered ONE AREA of treatment so you would need to purchase 1 Voucher for $149. If you wish to have the area between your eyebrows (Glabella) AND the forehead you would need to purchase 1 Voucher for $289 for the appropriate number of units needed for both areas.
