  • $15 for $30 worth of Latin- and Asian-inspired food during dinner

Chef Isabel combines both Latin and Asian inspirations into one dinner menu that features everything from housemade chicken tamales ($16) to seared ahi tuna glazed with sweet soy and wasabi cream ($25). The lunch and brunch menu includes a similar range of dishes, from housemade coconut-bread french toast ($11) to a torta filled with tender braised carnitas ($10). The eatery also offers an extensive list of drinks, such as red or white sangria ($7).

Isabel’s Cantina

Growing up in a Latino household, Isabel Cruz was introduced to the flavorful dishes of Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Cuba at an early age. Yet, when those influences merged with her Los Angeles neighborhood—where Asian cuisine reigned supreme—the future chef and cookbook author developed a passion, and a palate, for a whole world of cuisines. Today, that world comprises five west coast restaurants dedicated to Latin- and Asian-inspired food crafted from fresh, clean ingredients.

Isabel's Cantina is one of those five. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant features everything from decadent coconut French toast crowned with bananas and pineapple to homemade chiles rellenos stuffed with either pork carnitas or soy chorizo. No matter the time of day, the chef is a crusader for healthy and clean food sources, openly expressing her support for GMO-free produce and lead paint-free piñatas.
