Choose Between Two Options

  • $59 for a three-hour beginners' photography class for one with a glass of wine (a $159 value)
  • $99 for a three-hour beginners' photography class for two with two glasses of wine (a $318 value)

Groups of 20–25 students swear off the automatic setting of digital SLRs as they learn to operate knobs and dials. Inside the studio, brains steep in knowledge of exposure, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed, empowering them to judge the best settings for capturing grand vistas or detailed headshots of a ladybug. Students are welcome to bring their own cameras or borrow them from the studio, and snacks and drinks brought from home refresh creative juices. A $7.50 corkage fee applies to student-brought bottles; the University Club of Palo Alto also offers an extensive wine list.
