Photographs can show future generations how a person looks without carving their likeness into stone or switching their bed with a cryogenic freezer. Secure a spot in history with this Groupon.

Choose Between Two Options

  • $59 for a three-hour beginners' photography class for one with a glass of wine (a $159 value)
  • $99 for a three-hour beginners' photography class for two with two glasses of wine (a $318 value)

Groups of 20–25 students swear off the automatic setting of digital SLRs as they learn to operate knobs and dials. Inside the studio, brains steep in knowledge of exposure, aperture, ISO, and shutter speed, empowering them to judge the best settings for capturing grand vistas or detailed headshots of a ladybug. Students are welcome to bring their own cameras or borrow them from the studio, and snacks and drinks brought from home refresh creative juices. A $7.50 corkage fee applies to student-brought bottles; the University Club of Palo Alto also offers an extensive wine list. See upcoming class dates here.

The Groupon Guide to: Made-for-TV Movies

Any aspiring actress, singer, or model/comedienne/favourite daughter can kick her career into high gear by starring in a sad yet thrilling made-for-TV motion picture. If you’re looking for your vehicle to stardom, try taking the lead in one of these prime-time-ready plots:

Sin to the Looking Glass: A woman wakes up to find her fraternal twin sister cooking breakfast for her and her husband. She can’t tell if this is weird or nice until she remembers that her husband can’t tell her and her twin apart. It’s too late because her husband has already woken up in a fun mood and had fun with the twin. The woman knows what she has to do.

Really Going Bump in the Night: A woman goes to bed, only to hear the sound of her husband moving around. Thinking that he’s being abducted, she swings a lamp at his abductor. She hears two bodies fall to the ground and realizes he was actually just cheating on her. She knows what she has done.

Holding Court: A woman is walking around the mall living a normal life when she runs into her son’s sexy but lonely basketball coach at the food court. In a fit of passion, she cheats on her husband with the coach right then and there. She immediately regrets having committed this very personal act in a public place. She knows what she must do to all the witnesses.

Is a mall food court a good place to have an affair?
