Choose from Four Options

  • $49 for a 30-minute mint-satin facial or body scrub and a 60-minute Swedish or deep-tissue massage (a $140 value)
  • $35 for a 60-minute prenatal massage (a $60 value)
  • $39 for a 60-minute hot-stone massage (an $80 value)
  • $25 for a 60-minute Swedish or deep-tissue massage (up to an $80 value)

Facial and body scrubs incorporate mint essential oils and naturally abrasive ingredients to scrub away dead skin and reveal the softer, younger cells beneath. The gentle, flowing strokes of Swedish massage relieve stress and stimulate circulation, and the firmer, more focused pressure of deep-tissue massage helps release nagging tension. Prenatal massage uses belly-safe positions and specialized techniques to relieve the strains of pregnancy. During hot-stone massage, the therapist places heated pebbles along the back to loosen muscles and thus make them more susceptible to her manipulations.

Island Therapeutic Massage

Island Therapeutic Massage's founder and owner, Victoria, believes that massage can be part of a daily or weekly de-stressing regimen, rather than just a once-in-a-while indulgence. At her massage center's two locations, she and her team work to stimulate circulation, fend off disease, and bring balance to their clients' bodies with an array of soothing modalities.

Among the most popular of these modalities, Swedish and deep-tissue massages uncoil sinews and reduce stress with varying levels of pressure. Therapeutic massage, trigger-point therapy, and sports massage focus more on specific ailments, targeting headaches and chronic pain from injuries on the field or in the workplace. Another specialty modality, pregnancy massage, helps expectant mothers and babies cope with the stress of hormonal changes and rigid nine-month deadlines. To ramp up your relaxation, request body scrubs and aromatherapy with nonscented or Young Living essential oils.

The Groupon Guide to: New Roller Coasters

It's still early, but it looks like 2013 will go down in history as the year of the roller coaster. Here are some roller coasters that are debuting soon:

  • Kung Fu Panda: the Ride
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Roller Coaster
  • Kung Fu Panda: a Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (the Aerosmith roller coaster but all songs used for the ride were rerecorded by Aerosmith while they were wearing panda costumes)
  • Kung Fu Panda: the Panda Rides among Us (on This Roller Coaster)
  • Kung Fu Panda 3: the Ride Based on an Early Draft of an Unproduced Screenplay
  • Panda Drop (not based on Kung Fu Panda—riders are just dropped into a cage with a bunch of pandas)
  • Lung Flu Amanda: America's Most Contagious Roller Coaster

Which Oscar-winning films were based on roller-coaster rides? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
