Choose Between Two Options

An experienced staff member guides participants through the waters of Maunalua Bay. After a short briefing, participants get to ride a self-propelled, eco-friendly submersible electric scooter for 20 minutes amid colorful fish, corals, and sea turtles. Additionally, customers can enjoy 90 minutes of turtle watching while on a 40-foot custom dive boat. The tour also includes a refreshment and snack, along with time allotted for swimming, snorkeling, and staring directly into the sun.

Island Water Sports Hawaii

Founded with the goal of curating unique island adventures that promote up-close encounters with local wildlife, Island Water Sports Hawaii facilitates humans’ return to nature with intimate tours and activities. Working out of the Hawaii Kai Marina, Island Water Sports’ passionate staff of boat captains ferries guests out into Maunalua Bay to partake in aquatic adventures including kayaking and snorkeling, and expert guides lead hikes and eco-tours into the lush vegetation of Koko Head. The company’s signature eco-friendly submarine scooters secure riders' heads in clear, bubble-like helmets that draw on the principles of diving bells to safely seal air inside and keep faces dry, comfortable, and breathing easily throughout underwater tours. On boat tours, the balmy sea air tussles the manes of Island Watersports’ skippers as they point out awe-inspiring vistas and wildlife such as humpback whales that migrate to Hawaii from Alaska to nurse, mate, and take their sundresses out of storage.

The Groupon Guide to: Crossing the Street

It’s not enough just to cross the street safely—you have to want to cross the street safely. Ensure your safety by observing the following rules before crossing any and every street:

  • Look both ways.

  • Look the other both ways—directly at the sun and deep inside yourself.

  • Check to see if an old woman is crossing the street alone. If so, let her go. Study her. Learn from her successes and her failures.

  • Invite the drivers of every stopped car to an impromptu roundtable discussion about vehicle safety and what it means to society in an election year.

  • Do whatever the tiny imprisoned man in the traffic signal does. If he walks, you walk. If he turns into a red hand, you turn into a red hand.

  • Just wait. Eventually the other side of the street will come to you if you have enough candy in your pockets.

Should you always do what the man imprisoned in the traffic signal does?
