Commonly Asked Questions

Under "extra large area" it states "full leg" does that mean BOTH legs, above the knee and below the knee?

kelly b. asked 10 months, 2 days, 8 hours, and 30 minutes ago - 1 answer

YES! It does Kelly. Both legs, in full, above and below the knees, and INCLUDES the knees! Best deal in town!

More Questions and Answers

Is it acceptable for me to buy one option for myself and receive another option from a friend as a gift?

Sarah W. asked 9 months, 28 days, 4 hours, and 54 minutes ago - 1 answer

Yes, that fits the rules for the Groupon!

I'm saddened that with all the technology today there isn't a laser treatment for light colored hair. :-( I'm a strawberry blonde so of course most all of my hair elsewhere is light however on my chin & sideburns I have black hairs popping up that I have to tweeze often. Would this be effective to get rid of those? Will laser treatment minimize hair at all on light haired people?

Megan D. asked 9 months, 29 days, 5 hours, and 1 minute ago - 1 answer

The Lightsheer Diode laser will work well on your "few dark hairs" and may, IF any of your lighter hairs have dark roots, work on them as well.

Hi! I am currently pregnant and would not want to start my first round of treatments on my arms until late October. If I buy it now, am I able to not start for a few months and still have all my visits be valid? Also, how long does it take to do a full arm treatment per visit normally? Thanks!

Michelle M. asked 9 months, 29 days, 5 hours, and 35 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hello Michelle, It is fine to not start your first treatments until October. You will still be able to do all your treatments. Full arm treatments can take anywhere from 30 to 50 minutes, depending on the person. For the Groupon, full arms are considered an extra large area.

I have already had 5 laser treatments with a LightSheer Duet (last one was in May) for a full Brazillian at Belle Vie. I need at least 5 more, as I only had about a 40-50% reduction. Is this laser compatible? The price is fantastic and I'd love to buy the Groupon! Thanks!

Erin S. asked 10 months, 3 hours, and 53 minutes ago - 1 answer

HI Erin, you are right that this is a fantastic price! I am happy to say that the laser is a Lightsheer Diode Laser, considered the gold standard of lasers for hair removal. While the larger head of the "high speed" handpiece is nice, in my experience with all the Lightsheer diode lasers (and in fact I have worked for the laser company in the past) is that the smaller handpiece seems to do a better job. I used to use the larger high speed for the first few then switch over to the smaller handpiece to "finish" the job!!!! For more information, go to my website at www.jmedical.org

I am interested in having just my upper lip and chin done (no side burns), would this be considered a small area or a medium area? I have used groupon deals in the past for the same treatment and same area, and the lip and chin has always been considered a small area, I just wanted to make sure before I purchased.

stephanie r. asked 10 months, 8 hours, and 45 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hello Stephanie, for this particular Groupon, either the lip or the chin are considered small areas, not both together.

Anne M. answered 10 months, 5 hours, and 11 minutes ago

I have blonde hair above my upper lip. Can you laser blonde hair and is this considered a small area? I asked this question concerning blonde hair because I purchased a Groupon Deal for laser removal only to find out when I went for my appointment that rtreatment will not work. So I wasted over $100 with no refund. Thanks ,

MARY J. asked 10 months, 2 days, 3 hours, and 10 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hello Mary, unfortunately us blondes are usually out of luck here as the laser is attracted to brown/black pigment in the root of the hair. You should have been able to have received a refund if this was a Groupon you had purchased as that is their policy. You should contact them directly to inquire. Hope this helps you.

I am interested in getting my upper lip & chin done. I have relatively fair skin and most all of the hair is fair, as well. I would like to not have to worry about unwanted hair there anymore but am concerned about the results because the hair is not dark. What results could I reasonably expect after the full 6 treatments are completed?

Rhonna P. asked 10 months, 2 days, 3 hours, and 26 minutes ago - 1 answer

Rhonna, thats a great question, and it deserves an honest answer! Unfortunately, the laser does not work very well on blonde, gray, or red hair. The target of laser hair removal is the root of the hair which must have some brown to black pigment in it in order for the laser to "see" it. Occasionally, hair that is lighter at the surface does have darker roots, if this is the case then it could work well. I hope this helps!!!

My skin is naturally a tan color as I am Asian and I also have black hair. In the summer/fall I get tanner due to natural exposure to the sun although I do not purposefully tan. I want to get this groupon for my legs. When would be the best time to start these sessions? How long do you have to wait in between session?

allison r. asked 10 months, 2 days, 4 hours, and 23 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hello Allison, because you are having more exposure this time of year I would suggest you begin your sessions in the winter when your skin is naturally at its lightest. About 6 weeks in between each session is normal. You could begin around Thanksgiving and still be done before next summer's heat first heat wave!

Does full face not include the eyebrow area? Does full arms include underarms? Will six treatments permanently remove all hair, or just reduce it?

Elizabeth C. asked 10 months, 2 days, 6 hours, and 25 minutes ago - 1 answer

Hi Elizabeth, full face does not include the eyebrow area. It is never safe to use these types of lasers near the eyes. We recommend having your appropriate facial areas lasered and letting the talented aestheticians at J Salon & Spa wax under your brows! Safety always comes first. The full arms includes forearms and upper arms, front and back. Underarms are separate.
