The menu includes italian quesadillas with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, roasted red peppers, and either chicken or sausage in a spinach-herb tortilla ($7.99), ravioli stuffed with lobster, asparagus, and cheese and served with a lobster- and herb-based cream sauce ($14.99), and baked sub sandwiches with hot italian sausage ($7.49).

Italian cuisine’s most iconic ingredients appear almost everywhere on Joe Pasta’s menu, even spilling onto dishes from other cultures. The kitchen’s nachos and quesadillas revamp the classic Mexican staple with flavors such as melted parmesan and tomato-basil sauce. Along with these unorthodox dishes, the chefs demonstrate their unwavering commitment to Italian comfort food by designing their own marinara, meatballs, and pesto in-house.

These sorts of homespun ingredients appear on everything from the lasagna to the chicken parmesan sandwich. Beginning with a cheesy canvas of creamy mozzarella or more assertive gorgonzola, the chefs encourage diners to build a personalized pizza with as many as 12 different toppings, including staples such as hot sausage, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms.

Although the long dining tables—draped in black linens—and framed artwork along the pale yellow walls adhere to the family style intent of the menu, the restaurant’s bars keep spirits high, serving drinks until as late as 2 a.m. The restaurant occasionally hosts live DJ sets as well, entertaining crowds with pulsing dance rhythms and dramatic readings of the menu’s dessert section.
