$85 for One-Hour Portrait Session and High-Resolution CD of 50 Photos ($500 Value)

Joel Marion draws on years of experience when capturing images of his clients. During a one-hour portrait session, he takes photos on-location around St. Louis to get his subject in the best light. Then he uploads 50 images to a high-resolution photo CD, along with a copyright release letter, for the client to do with as they please. Prints are also available for 50% off the first week they are posted online to Joel's password-protected gallery.

Joel Marion Photography

Joel Marion first cultivated his creativity while enlisted in the Air Force and working as a photojournalist. He taught himself the complexities of shutter speed and f-stops through trial and error. Through his company—Joel Marion Photography—the autodidact has become one of the fortunate few whose avocation becomes their vocation, unlike Michael Jordan, who longed to dunk donuts instead of basketballs. Throughout his career, he has worked in fashion and advertising in St. Louis. He is also known for capturing his subjects' true personalities while taking photos of weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, celebrities, and families. His wife Carol manages the studio while Joel's design and Photoshop specialist, Kelly Tucker, helps their clientele create aesthetically pleasing compositions.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?
