$1,249 for Upper-Eyelid Surgery on Both Eyes ($3,299 Value)

During the procedure, a surgeon reduces puffiness or sagging folds by making an incision within the natural crease of the upper eyelids, then repositions fat deposits, tightens muscles and tissue, and removes excess skin. He finally closes the incision with removable or absorbable sutures, skin adhesives, or surgical tape. The procedure is performed in the office using local anesthesia with oral sedation. Patients should expect about a week of downtime and small incision lines that continue to improve for up to a year; the scars are designed to be hidden by the natural structure of the eyelids or two colorful cocktail umbrellas. Results appear as swelling and bruising subsides, typically within several weeks.

THE PATIENT AND ANY OTHER PERSON RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYMENT HAS A RIGHT TO REFUSE TO PAY, CANCEL PAYMENT, OR BE REIMBURSED FOR PAYMENT FOR ANY OTHER SERVICE, EXAMINATION, OR TREATMENT THAT IS PERFORMED AS A RESULT OF AND WITHIN 72 HOURS OF RESPONDING TO THE ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE FREE, DISCOUNTED FEE, OR REDUCED FEE SERVICE, EXAMINATION, OR TREATMENT.

The Groupon Guide to: Boat Clubs

Millions of people own a boat, but—surprisingly—only a few of them get together once a week to talk boat. If you own a boat and haven't joined a boat club, check out some of the topics typically covered in a boat-club meeting so you can see what you're missing:

  • What's your boat's name?
  • What would your boat's name be if your boat could have named itself?
  • What are your favorite boat memories that you haven't made yet?
  • Share the first word that comes to your mind when thinking about your boat. Choose either "boat-like" or "boaty."
  • In a perfect world, how many boats would you like each of your children to own? (This is a trick question. The correct answer is: in a perfect world, my boat is my only child.)
  • On your tax returns, what do you list as you occupation? Boat owner? Boatman? Professional boatist? Something else that has "boat" in it?
  • Is your boat here right now? Can you point it out?

Is 2013 the Year of the Boat? Find out in today's Groupon Guide.
