Without seductive dance moves, courting peacocks could only impress mates by bench-pressing trashy romance novels. Exercise less hackneyed mating techniques and tone your torso with today's Groupon to Jordin's Paradise. Choose between the following options:
- For $50, you get five sexy-fitness classes (a $150 value).
- For $22, you get admission to one 30-minute pole dance and strip-tease class (a $45 value).
- For $22, you get a 30-minute phone consultation with Kara Allen (a $45 value).
Jordin's Paradise casts off tired, run-of-the-treadmill exercise regimens by offering fun classes and events built around dance, fitness, and positive self-improvement. Choose five of Jordin's 23 classes for a host of healthy happenings. Jordin's instructors guard this exercise Eden like flab-flummoxing cherubs, ready to help clients get in shape through positive workouts in the spacious studio. Let the Latin rhythms of salsa music swivel your arms and hips into action with a Zumba aerobics class, or discover your inner stunt double with the fast-paced, calorie-crushing workout in the kickboxing class. Sensual off-duty firefighters can stay in shape with the pole-dancing class, and bodies that desire alluring island hip-sways without hand-mowing a grass skirt can tone bellies in the hula-hooping class.
Alternately, there are the 30 minutes of pole-dancing and strip-tease instruction, or a 30-minute sexy-style consultation with Kara Allan of Stacy London's Style for Hire. Learn how to dress for an upcoming rendezvous, discover new flattering makeup tricks and first-date tips, sheath stems in stilettos for a lesson in graceful come-hither struts, receive a body silhouette analysis, and absorb the sexiest shadow-puppet techniques. Check Jordin's schedule for Friday and Saturday event availability and for ongoing class times.
- With such small classes, you are able to let go of inhibitions without an exercise class full of 40 or more people watching you, like at other gyms. – Meaghan Diana, Glamourina
- In one hour you sweat like mad doing exercises specific to the dance class you are in, and then you actually take those exercises and learn how they make up an entire routine. – Daphna K., Yelp, 01/22/2011
Rania Jaziri has spent her entire career pirouetting on the intersection of performing arts and fitness. Born in Tunisia, her journey as a multitalented performer began with ballet lessons at the age of 6, achieving the poise, energy, and coordination that would later prove valuable in high-school basketball and swimming. After finishing college in Germany, Rania came to Washington, D.C., where her bubbly approach to teaching dance fitness and step-kickboxing attracted a dedicated following of hoofers and clown-punching bags. To meet the growing demand for her sweat-manufacturing expertise, she founded her own fitness center, Jordin's Paradise, which has since been deemed Washington D.C.'s Best Dance Company 2011 by Washington City Paper readers.
Positive energy powers the adventurous curriculum of Jordin's Paradise, where exercisers march toward physical peaks during exhilarating, dance-infused fitness classes, such as Bikini Body Bootcamp, pole dancing, and Flash Mob Workshop. When Rania isn't helping guests get into better shape than a dodecahedron with rock-solid abs, she's focusing her efforts on local charities, such as Becky's Fund, which spreads domestic-violence awareness.
