Surrounded by the mature trees and windswept fairways of the Chuck Corica Golf Complex, students take swings while a video camera records from two angles and PGA professional Josh Willard offers constructive criticism. All required training equipment will be provided.

Josh Willard Golf

A Class-A PGA member since 1995, Josh Willard brings six years of international professional playing experience and more than 10 years of coaching to the aid of clients who range from beginners to touring professionals. No matter the current state of a lesson taker’s game, Josh begins by demonstrating sound grip, posture, and short-game technique. These, he believes, lead to more enjoyment and long-term success than quick fixes such as buying expensive clubs or laser-guided ball cannons.

Once fundamentals are in place, Willard begins refining the student’s full swing by eliminating extraneous movements for a simpler, more economical motion. To achieve this, digital cameras capture each chop from both the front and side angles, then feed the information into swing software to root out problem areas and form the basis for development drills and instruction. Afterwards, players can access their videos on a stored file at any time to keep track of progress or reminisce about the season-to-season changes in golf fashions.
