Groupon: Collective Buying Power

Can I just go in for the teeth cleaning? I don’t want to have to do the x-rays, etc. for records. I just need a simple teeth cleaning, and if I like it so much and want to be a regular then I can go in for the x-rays.

This is NOT a good deal. Many dentists offer this level of service for free or even a lower price for NEW customers.

How would this Groupon work if you have Dental coverage thru your insurance plan?

Dr. Tanz takes most PPO Insurance plans and should you need additional treatment the office can submit to the your plan and the insurance payment can be applied to your patient portion.

I laughed out loud at this one. Fernando is right. Many dentists offer this for $50-60 for new patients.

Anyone care to share which dentists offer this for $50-60? I jut moved here and am lookig for a good dentist.

This IS a great deal – new patient or not it’s just $49.00!
I bought two for my husband & myself after I called a friend in the area & he is her dentist & loves him.

I initially was interested in this deal, until I looked up some reviews on Dr. Tanz. Yelp reviews sound like he had friends write them. But CitiSearch tells a completely different story. I’m sure there are other dentists out there who have better reviews and for first patients will do at most $50-$60 deal, as others have commented here. My teeth are worth more to me than getting a “good deal” on having them taken care of.

This is brilliant I’m so excited about this Groupon deal. I see this as a great $opportunity$ to go to a private practice and not a clinic.

Yes Xrays are more expensive, plus Dr. Tanz is a one dentist practice with over 25 years of experience. All patients are treated personally by the doctor. The practice is how dentistry used to be when the dentist and the staff put the care and well being of the patient first.
