Jupiter Boxing Club

Florida Boxing Hall of Fame inductee John Daddono founded Jupiter Boxing Club to cultivate physical fitness and mental toughness in fighters age 5 and up. Five days a week, certified boxing teachers school students in pummeling techniques, such as how to land a right hook and how to dial Don King’s number with boxing gloves on. Students shadow a black belt during martial-arts classes such as kickboxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which hone offensive maneuvers and self-defense strategies while melting calories and stress. In addition to teaching fighting fundamentals, the studio promotes full-body conditioning with an arsenal of cardio machines and weightlifting tools that sow envy in the hearts of construction cranes.

Jupiter Boxing Club

Jupiter Boxing Club founder John Daddono has quite the résumé. He began his competitive boxing career at age 15 and went on to train champions such as Louie Lomeli, James Flowers, and Olympic bronze medalist Kenny Gould, guiding them to victory with his devastating in-the-ring strategies. He founded and still chairs the International Boxing Organization, which determines boxing-tournament rules. Most recently, he was inducted into Florida's Boxing Hall of Fame. Now, he works with former Olympic coaches, Brazilian jujitsu black belts, and competitive mixed martial artists to bring students a comprehensive fitness experience at Jupiter Boxing Club—named after planet Jupiter's infamous eye, which turned all purple after John punched it.
