I am wondering if the water is protected or directly the ocean - this is a first time on paddle board and at 64 my balance isn't perfect-how many waves will I encounter?

Hi Konnie~ We are on the Indian River Lagoon, also known as Jupiter Sound or the Intracoastal...we launch from a protected saltwater cove. The only waves you will encounter are from wind chop or boat wakes...Call ahead to reserve your board, and if you need to reschedule for a nice calm day, it's no problem. You will love it.

Hi Karen! You can either rent a double kayak with your child, or take 2 singles. The Groupon is for Single Kayaks & Stand Up Paddleboards, but we can make an exception if you'd like your son to go in a double with you.

Can two friends kayaking together each use their own Groupon? What is your regular rate for 2 hour kayak both single and double as well as paddle board... Thanks!

Hi Ellen! Yes, you can each use your own Groupon for single kayaks (the Groupon is only for singles, not double kayaks). Our 2 hour rate for single kayaks & paddleboards is normally $30/per person. You will need to call reserve equipment in advance. Thank you!

Hi Ritika....All of our paddlers are required to have life vests on their kayak/paddleboard when we launch. You could wear yours, and perhaps you would be more comfortable in a kayak....less chance of falling in than on a paddleboard! Our staff is lifeguard certified. Thanks
