Learn to recognize opportune moments with today's Groupon: for $17, you get a two-hour, adult BYOB Painting Class (a $35 value) at Just Your Art in Mundelein.

Just Your Art helps students of all ages and abilities unleash their creative energy and apply it toward helping in the fight against blank canvases. Inside of the colorful and inviting studio, students will find all of the materials necessary for cultivating their own masterpieces and Dalí-esque moustaches. The professional art instructors integrate bits of science and history into each two-hour lesson as they help students discover proper color-blending and brushstroke techniques. While contemplating their inner Picassos and furrowing their Frida brows, students can also enjoy a glass of beer or wine, which they are welcome to bring in from their local spirit shop, home rack, or beeramid.

In addition to helping students delve into their subconscious, canvas coating abilities, Just Your Art serves an array of sandwiches, salads, and coffee drinks that students may purchase during class. Adult BYOB classes begin on select evenings at 7 p.m. and students can contact Just Your Art to make a reservation, thereby ensuring a free easel for their artistic endeavors. Just Your Art

Just Your Art's proprietor draws from a wealth of training and experience to help students of any ability level hone their skills. She has a background in medical and architectural illustration that helps her create lifelike depictions of figures and structures. To boot, her master's degree in education allows her to wear a mortarboard and gown at all times.

She works with students to cultivate a joy of self-expression and accomplishment found in creating their own paintings, whether they are grownups enjoying sips of wine between brush strokes or kids discovering their talents during summer classes. Young ones learn the history of art and the finer points of sketching and painting during summer camps, and BYOB parties combine the thrill of girls' nights out with the beauty of artistic creation, defined as turning a wine glass into a wine glass that's balanced atop your head while you paint. The staff sells cappuccinos, lattes, and real fruit smoothies.
