The Core session consists of four classes a week for five weeks, beginning with two one-hour cross-training workouts that may incorporate both resistance and cardio training. A Kaia Flow session then allows participants to stretch out their muscles through yoga-style poses, and a final Saturday-morning run at a local park tests their endurance. All participants also receive seasonally appropriate nutritional support.
Kaia Fit Natomas
Cris Santa Croce and her team of all-female coaches at Kaia Fit Natomas believe that the best personal fitness results are achieved through teamwork. In other words, each athlete needs a network that emotionally supports her and keeps her accountable, whether she's performing a sweat-inducing gym workout or taking an outdoor run on a frosty morning. The six-week BRIK boot camp forms the core of Kaia's fitness programs. Three times each year, its leader runs participants through a gauntlet of creative workouts in gymnastics, running, and weight-training, which she compliments with a seasonally focused meal plan. In between these sessions, the Core program combines cross-training workouts with yoga days and Saturday-morning runs in a local park. The I Kan Tri program, on the other hand, takes a more focused approach with triathlon training in which coaches guide their students through a circuit of cycling, swimming, and running, culminating in a sprint or full-length event.
