Fusion cuisine combines dishes from different culinary backgrounds, resulting in unique hybrid meals such as Southwest eggrolls and tacos filled with astronaut ice cream. Feast on collaborative cooking with today's Groupon: for $4, you get any Asian-inspired burger at Kalbi Burger (up to an $8.45 value).

Kalbi Burger's patty artisans infuse slabs of naturally raised, hormone-free Angus beef with Asian flavors before swaddling each circular comestible in a crispy bun baked exclusively for the restaurant. Korean barbecue kisses the menu's signature Kalbi burger, which heaps American cheese, Korean vinaigrette, and aioli sauce onto short rib freshly ground by repurposed mini golf windmills ($8.45). The JeJu Do burger's spicy pork patty and sautéed kimchi are submerged in a fiery sea of jalapeños, red onions, and lettuce doused in JeJu Do sauce ($6.95). Diners can flap and cluck for the Tokyo chicken burger, its fresh poultry breast blanketed in Tokyo sauce, swiss cheese, and caramelized onions ($6.95). The build your own burger option allows customers to construct a custom meal using a bevy of ingredients and a blueprint of an eight-story bun.

The Groupon Guide to: Great Moments in American Hamburgery

To put your mouth in the mood for a bite of grilled greatness, here are American history's most memorable hamburger moments:

  • December 11, 1620: Just as winter seems its bleakest, the starving Pilgrims find relief when they stumble upon an underground hamburger mine.

  • July 4, 1776: Infamous traitor Benedict Arnold betrays America by forgoing the traditional hamburger for a chicken sandwich at Benjamin Franklin's Fourth of July barbecue. Benedict was later punished by having his face appear on America's least popular currency, the dollar bill.

  • August 13, 1948: The House Un-American Activities Committee identifies Communists by challenging witnesses to finish an entire hamburger while drawing a portrait of Joe DiMaggio in less than one minute.

  • June 26, 1963: President Kennedy gives his famous "Ich bin ein Hamburger" speech before pledging to beat the Russians in the race to send a hamburger to the moon.

  • November 11, 2011: Hamburger suffrage.
