Helicopters are superior to planes in almost every way: vertical takeoff and landing, ability to manoeuvre in any direction, and more likely to deposit Green Day outside your high school because they heard there was "a pretty cool prom goin' down." Let your dreams soar with this Groupon.

Choose from Three Options

  • $169 for a 20-minute helicopter tour with a one-hour wilderness stop for one (a $312 value)

The helicopter sails over Kananaskis Country with views of Barrier Lake, the Three Sisters peaks, the Bow River, and Mt. Yamnuska. This trip also includes a one-hour stop for walking or snowshoeing in the wilderness. Kananaskis Heli Tours has a second base, too, located near Lake Louise, Banff National Park, and Columbia Icefield.

Kananaskis Heli Tours

Blades humming, the helicopter from Kananaskis Helicopter Tours rises up from the heliport and soars away over the valley, crossing skies hung between tall mountain peaks. Rising to 6,500 ft., it might follow the rushing waters of the Bow River, or head toward Mount Yamnuska, whose stoic face is a popular destination for climbers. Passengers watch all of these breathtaking panorama glide smoothly by underneath during their 20-minute flight, content to let their expert pilot guide them on a leisurely loop before returning to base. Guests with more adventure in mind can also opt to land for a one-hour wilderness stop, taking wilderness walks or snowshoeing through frost-covered forests before flying away again.
