$39 for One-Hour Horse Ride for Two ($84 Total Value)

  • One-hour horse trail ride (a $40 value per person)
  • Helmet rental (a $2 value per person)

Gentle steeds, some of which are rescue horses, shepherd visitors through 60 acres of verdant Vermont farmland, arriving at a point on Lookout Mountain that offers sweeping views of three states and three different mountain ranges. Trail rides, like high-fives from the Statue of Liberty, are free for active military personnel.

Kimberly Farms

Owned by local horse lovers, Kimberly Farms is a thriving equitation facility that treats visitors to scenic trail rides and instruction from certified trainers. Its 60 acres of lush farmland include Vermont’s oldest marble quarry, a nature preserve, and Lookout Mountain, which treats eyes to majestic views of three states and the Berkshire, Green, and Taconic mountain ranges. Trail rides offer visitors a comprehensive tour of the compound as well as chances to spy wildlife such as deer, foxes, and wild cowboys performing mating dances with lassos. During riding lessons, instructors teach pupils various styles of riding including English, Western, trail riding, and bareback. Kimberly Farms also hosts groups for day camps, overnight camp, and special events.

The Groupon Guide to: Tricking Your Kids into Eating Vegetables

Kids don't want to eat vegetables because vegetables aren't fun. Make legumes laughably fun with these tips for preparing vegetables:

  • Put black beans on circular slices of potato to give your kids healthier "chocolate-chip cookies."

  • Cut corn off the cob and offer their picky palates some "rotten goblin teeth."

  • Mash yams and your young ones will be thrilled to eat "a very sick man's innards."

  • An avocado kind of looks like a hand grenade.

  • Remove the strings from celery. Kids will voluntarily eat celery if it's not strung like some kind of ridiculous violin.

Mom, can I have seconds of goblin teeth?
